A user can create an account on Duolingo app for free through the website or through the mobile app.
Create Account through The Website
Step one: Navigate to any browser of your choice and click on it. Enter the official Duolingo app address, www.duolingo.com or click here.

Step nine: Some basic question would be asked in the language you have selected.

Create an Account through the Mobile APP

Step five: How much of the language do you know? You would be asked how much you know of your selected language. The options you would see are:

- I know some words and phrases
- I can have simple conversations
- I am intermediate or higher.
Click on continue when you have successfully selected an option.
Step six: Why are you learning your selected language: Some options would be shown to you, select the one that best suits you and click on continue.
Step seven: Here’s what you can achieve: You would be shown what you can achieve in Duolingo app if you are serious minded and ready to learn. You would see any of the following goals:
- Converse with confidence (2500+stress free interactive exercises)
- Build a Large Vocabulary (1900+pratical words and phrases)
- Develop a Learning Habit (Smart Reminder, fun challenges and more).
Click on ‘continue’ if you are okay with the listed goals.
Step eight: What is your learning goal: Select an achievable goal from the listed goals and click on ‘continue’.
Step nine: Now lets find the best place to start: Select one from the two options presented to you and click on ‘continue’. The options available are:
- Learning your preferred language for the first time
- Already know some words from your preferred language.
Some questions would be asked to ascertain your level.
You would be asked to create your profile. You can skip it for later or link with Facebook account or email address. You would be asked the following questions:
